The organization acts as a "enabler" and a "case manager" to their clients as they aid them in solving current issues surrounding their client by means of aiding them in accessing services and other facilities especially when struck with serious situations that require outside help from other professionals. The organization also practices the roles of being a "facilitator", "counselor", and "mediator" to their clients for they focus on providing assistance to not only a few individuals but a community of clients who are in need of assistance and counseling to explore possible alternatives and other strategies to solve their individual cases.

A FULFILLING EXPERIENCE: WHAT HAPPENED THERE?
A group of students from our Humanities and Social Science strand in our institution were able to visit the Marikina Youth Homes. They were given the opportunity to meet and interact with the clients of the organization as well as meet the social workers who were stationed there. From the experience they've gained new insight and realization regarding the work of a social worker and their relevance to society and how they assist society. They were greeted warmly by the staff of the organization and were lectured and given insight regarding the mission and vision of the organization which help the students learn more of the organization and what it stands for.
Interacting with the clients of the organization proved also as a rare opportunity to learn more but in the point of view of view of those who are actually experiencing the services of the organization. It was a fruitful activity that served as an eye-opener for the students regarding the situation of the clients and the awful prejudice that surrounds them at such a vulnerable age. Through this experience it became evident how truly necessary it was for such organizations to exist whose sole duty is to provide assistance ans guidance for individuals who have strayed away from the "right" path and are in need of guidance from credible professionals.
